EU should 'undermine national homogeneity' says UN migration chief

The EU should "do its best to undermine" the "homogeneity" of its member states, the UN's special representative for migration has said.


Peter Sutherland told peers the future prosperity of many EU states depended on them becoming multicultural.

He also suggested the UK government's immigration policy had no basis in international law.

This trend was highlighted this week by the case of Abigail Howarth, a bright teenager who applied for a training position with the Environment Agency in East Anglia but was turned down because she was too white and English. The post, which carries a £13,000 grant, was open only to ethnic minorities, including the Scots, Welsh and Irish.

Heavy handed tactics by police is increasing - disabled 73 year old lady summoned to court and threatened with an ASBO for merely writing letters!

Just lately, the police have stepped-up their bullying tactics, and are now targeting individuals instead of groups or parties.

They are calling to people's homes and threatening them with various scare tactics.

An appalling example of police bullying is that of Mrs Margaret Walker, a 73 year old disabled lady, in Fareham, Hampshire.

Margaret has been following the Charlene Downes case very closely and she has been writing letters to councillors and MP's to draw their attention to the circumstances of what has happened to Charlene.

 And yesterday, the police visited Margaret's home and told her that she MUST attend Fareham Magistrates Court at 9.30am, on Friday 22nd of June, to face a charge of Anti-Social Behaviour.

They gave her a folder, which included copies of some letters she has sent to politicians, which contained information that has been reported in newspapers.

How Britain’s Jewish Lobby Censors School Examinations

Gilad Atzmon looks at how Britain’s Israel lobby, led by arch-Zionist Education Secretary Michael Gove, has mobilized in condemnation of the country’s largest school examinations body for setting a question that asked students to explain “why some people are prejudiced against Jews”.

According to a report in the Telegraph newspaper, ministers have criticized Britain’s biggest examinations board after pupils were asked to explain “why some people are prejudiced against Jews” as part of a General Certificate of Secondary Education exam.

More than 1,000 teenagers are believed to have sat the religious studies test papers, which challenged pupils to assess the reasons behind anti-Semitism.

The Assessment and Qualifications Alliance, which set the exam, said that the question acknowledged that “some people hold prejudices” – they expected the students to examine the reasons that lead to anti Jewish feelings rather than simply justifying them.

Snuffing out critical thinking

Michael Gove, the education secretary who is notorious for his pro-Israeli stand and his intimate relationships with the Jewish lobby, has managed to produce a particularly lame statement that should disqualify him from any holding any position related to education. He told the Jewish Chronicle: “To suggest that anti-Semitism can ever be explained, rather than condemned, is insensitive and, frankly, bizarre.”

A Sunday Telegraph investigation has uncovered that Warsi has never registered a controlling stake in a spice manufacturing firm with the House of Lords authorities. The disclosure appears to be in breach of rules that order peers to declare their business interests, particularly if they are the principal shareholders in a company. It follows Lady Warsi’s admission last week that she failed to declare rental income from a property she owned.


Questions are also being asked today about her Ministerial trips paid for by the Saudi Government.

EURO anti-racism monitoring part of Respect drive

The campaign to eliminate racism and discrimination from football will be given a high-profile platform at UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine this summer thanks to UEFA's Respect Diversity programme of activities.




The Respect Diversity programme will be implemented with the cooperation of UEFA's long-time anti-discrimination partner the FARE network and its eastern European partner organisation Never Again. It will spread the positive message of diversity through various undertakings both before and during the tournament.



One key aspect of the initiative will be the monitoring by Never Again of racist and discriminatory chanting and symbols. Such monitoring activities have been an important aspect of FARE's work at major international final rounds for several years.
